A notable leader during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Contribution
Veer Kunwar Singh was a chieftain from the Ujjainiya clan of the Parmar Rajputs of Jagdispur, currently a part of Bhojpur district. At the age of nearly 80, he was one of the most remarkable military leaders of the 1857 uprising. Despite his age, he led a series of brilliant guerrilla campaigns against the British East India Company, achieving several victories and becoming a folk hero in Bihar.
